ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) covers the full development journey, starting from a commercial concept: we define the product direction, develop the formula, prepare samples and manufacture. In practice, at Rozani Lab, Private Label development follows the same path — ODM is simply the term used more often by international brands for the same type of collaboration.
What do I need to prepare before an ODM project?
A concept brief is enough: what product you want, for which audience, with what positioning and, if you have any, reference product examples. We build the rest together during the consultation stage.
Do I receive samples before final production?
Yes — ODM development includes a laboratory sample stage, which you evaluate before approving the move to commercial production.
How many formula adjustment rounds are possible?
The number of iterations is set at the quotation stage, based on product complexity. The goal is to reach a formula that matches your vision and is technically feasible.
What is the minimum order quantity for an ODM project?
The indicative threshold starts at 250 units for one product category. The final quantity depends on the complexity of the developed formula and the chosen packaging.
Who owns the formula resulting from an ODM project?
The formula is developed for your brand. The exact terms regarding exclusivity and use of the formula are agreed contractually, before the project begins.
How long does an ODM project take, from brief to production?
Timelines depend on formula complexity and the number of sample rounds needed — generally longer than a White Label adaptation. You get a clear timeline from the consultation stage.
